Google Chrome Plugins

If you happen to experience trouble getting certain plugins to work with the chrome web browser (such as Java, Adobe Flash Player), this should help.

1. Open the chrome browser and enter about:plugins into the navigation bar.
2. This will present a list of currently installed plugins. Line items that appear grayed out are currently disable. Clicking on enable will turn the plugin on.
3. Putting a check in the box labeled Always allowed will keep the plugin running indefinitely.
4. Once you finished. Close/Quit the chrome browser and then reopen it.

The Always allowed makes the most sense for Java, Flash, Silverlight, Adobe Reader, Adobe Shockwave, etc. Here is a screen shot of the about:plugins page. If you notice, Chrome PDF Viewer is disabled (grayed out) in lieu of Adobe PDF Reader.

I hope this helps.
